This book tells the story of Jay and Nia, who are bi-racial. Jay has light skin and blonde hair, Nia has dark skin and dark hair. The story is told from their view, their experiences of looking different from each other and accepting their mixed heritage.
The illustrations are wonderful and the book is fun, but it is also more much than that. It is about accepting who you are and embracing your heritage, or heritages.
It's a great book for children who are mixed and to learn more about being of a mixed heritage. It is a book all children should read.
