The Queen's Knight, Volume 1 - Kim Kang-Won
Yuna Lee goes to Germany to spend time with her mother who is there studying. She finds that her friend, Kahyun, is also there and she is exciting because she will be able to spend time with him too. But it seems neither Kahyun nor her mom have time for her.Yuna becomes upset and goes off by herself. She slips and falls into a gorge, breaking her leg. But she is saved by Rieno, who is a knight. Yuna makes a deal with Rieno that since he saved her life, she will become his queen.I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up this manga. But I found that it had an interesting plot, with good characters (even if some were annoying like Mari Park) and I couldn't put it down. I will say that Yuna at times was selfish and a bit childish, but I don't think she was too bad. She is, afterall, young and learning. I also realize it is hard on her not to have her mother around.Overall, I love this manga. I want to read the rest of the series.
