Review

Cassidy gets good grades, she has friends and a good life at home. But after summer camp and talking to people she wouldn't normally talk to, Cassidy begins her new school year feeling a bit different about things.Ken likes Cassidy and things would be perfect if only she would go out with him. But one night, while partying with friends, their lives change forever. This book I first read 10 years ago and I loved it then. I had borrowed it from my local library and written the title down. But I lost the paper that I had written it down on. For a number of years now I've been searching for this book, only going on what little bits I could remember and I finally found it. I'm so happy I did.Its description on the book said that it will its haunting impression on all who read it and different reviews I've read say it is an unforgettable read. This is undoubtedly true. When I first read it 10 years ago, even though I forgot its title, I've never forgotten about this book and how I felt when I read it.Finally when I found it again, I borrowed it from the library and experienced it all over again. It was no different than when I read it 10 years ago, I was hooked right away.Cassidy and Ken are the two main characters of this book. They like each other, but Cassidy is afraid to be in a relationship again after what happened the last time. Both of the characters have their own issues they are dealing with and one night when they are out with friends, they find the body of a student that was missing. And things only get more intense from there. The characters struggle between wanting to do what they know is right and protecting themselves and their friends. I think the characters are really relatable. You really feel like you're in their head and you are struggling with them. I just really think this is an amazing book and I am so happy to have found it again. It will definitely be a book that I add to my own collection. It is also a book that I highly recommend to anyone to read. It's one of those books that when you read it, you'll always remember it.
