Winter is coming and the Spook tells Tom that it is soon time to go to the winter house. Tom would rather stay at the house in Chipenden, but the Spook says they are needed in Anglezarke. Before leaving for the winter house in Anglezarke, a letter comes for the Spook from a strange man that seems to know. It turns out, the man is a failed apprentice of the Spook and he'll waiting for him in Anglezarke.Book number three was quite good. More is learned about the Spook and his past. Tom also gets into some pretty close calls once again. I won't spoil anything, but the book is also kind of sad, for a few reasons. I did like seeing a different side of the Spook though.Overall, it was great. I am really loving this series.
