Time is running short for Tom. He doesn't have many months left until he has to deal with the Fiend and defeat him once and for all. But can he do what's been asked of him?But for now, they have to deal with repairs to the house and building the Spook's library again. They find out about a woman with books about the dark and she is willing to sell. Tom and the Spook set off to take a look at this library, but find more than just some books. Wow. This entry in the series is just so intense and even at times, very sad. I never knew what was going to happen next. I'm not even sure what to really say about book 10. I just know that Tom is carrying a very heavy burden and it is hard on him - so much has happened in the four years of his apprenticeship. He's definitely changed, but all the characters, even John Gregory. This series definitely gives you a lot to think about.
